Help Prevent CyberBullying & Sexting with My Mobile Watchdog

My Mobile Watchdog was originally created  to help in an investigation involving an 11 year child. Initially not a commercial product, MMWD was called RADAR and was provided to law enforcement on an as needed basis. It quickly became apparent how big the problem of child exploitation was and how a new generation of exploiters were using cellular phones to gain unprecedented access to  children .

To date law enforcement has used My Mobile Watchdog to arrest and convict over 300 Internet predators. 90% of those convicted did not have a prior record and were not registered sex offenders. It is estimated there are nearly 700,000 registered sex offenders in the United States alone. There simply are not enough law enforcement personnel to protect America’s children from exploitation.

1.   Stranger Danger – Parents need to know who is talking to their children. MMWD has been used by parents to prevent or stop drug abuse as well as the effects of other bad influences on their children.

2.   Sexting – This is becoming epidemic in high schools around the country and many child suicides have been attributed to this special form of mobile harassment, taking sexual or other exploitive pictures, often secretively, and sending them by phone to others.

3.   Cyber Bullying – It is well realized that Cyber Bullying has become the leading mobile issue today. Thousands of every day incidents around the country have resulted in some kind of traumatic event for the children involved, sometimes even suicide. With the mobile device as the communication medium, these messages can be transmitted to dozens, if not hundreds of children within seconds of pressing the send button. A child’s reputation can be destroyed in a matter of minutes.

4.   Inappropriate Internet Activity – Children lack the maturity to handle much of the content available to them on the Internet today. MMWD gives parents the tools to supervise and help guide their children through this possibly puzzling information.
